An RNEC Scrapbook - Rear Admiral J K Robertson

These photographs come from the personal scrapbook of Rear Admiral John K Robertson, Commander of RNEC Manadon from December 1968 to January 1971.

The images cover a broad range of topics from the initial handover in the Commander's Office to the visit of HRH the Duke of Edinburgh on 11 May, 1970.

These images will be broadly assimilated into the site once its new format and layout has been released.

Departure of Captain Malim

Captain N H Malim, MVO departs RNEC, June 1969. Captain Malim was the 33rd Commanding Officer of RNEC (includes Keyham) and Commanded the College from 28 March 1967 to 24 June 1969.

Tithe Barn Chapel

The Manadon estate's Tithe Barn is converted into the Chapel of St. John and St. James, thanks to the fundraising efforts of RNEC Students. Many RNEC students that followed would marry and baptise their children in the Chapel.
